Rural Development Program 2014-2020

Mieli Thun has always been a family-run business. It all started with our great-grandfather Andrea’s passion for bees, which our father then turned into a profession. The sudden loss of our father in April 2021 hastened our takeover of the company. All the experiences we shared with him and the knowledge he imparted will be invaluable in contributing to the development of Mieli Thun and continuing this wonderful project.

Thanks to the Rural Development Program 2014-2020 of the Autonomous Province of Trento, and Operation 411 “Support for investments in agricultural businesses” which contributes to achieving the objectives of focus area 2A “Improving the economic performance of all farms and encouraging the restructuring and modernization of farms,” it was possible to introduce new technologies to improve the quality of work for operators, with the purchase of an electric pallet truck that reduces manual handling of loads and physical strain. It was also possible to install a new anti-theft, intrusion, and video surveillance system to ensure better protection of the company structure.

Amount in euros of the grant awarded or paid is 12,615.12 euros (42.980% as the EAFRD share amounting to 5,421.98 euros; 39.914% as the State share amounting to 5,035.20 euros; 17.106% as the PAT share amounting to 2,157.94 euros).
