Description

Coriander honey is a monofloral honey derived from the cultivation of the plant for seed production, which is primarily used as a spice.
It releases an intense and strong personality aroma reminiscent of pain d’épices and gomasio, with a slight smoky note that in the finish is enriched by a fresh hint of citron peel and coconut milk; on the palate, it is fruity and well-balanced between sweet and salty, with a citrusy, refreshing, and persistent finish.

The result is an original and very aromatic honey with surprising versatility.

Pairings and uses

Coriander honey pairs well with egg-based recipes and fried foods. It can be used in a spicy marinade for grilled meats or in chimichurri for asado, combined with vinegar and spices. With chopped fresh thyme, it enhances the cooking bases of red meats and game.

Plant variety

Coriander is an annual herb that does not tolerate waterlogged soils, characterized by upright stems, compound leaves, white flowers, and aromatic seeds. The name derives from the Latin coriandrum, meaning “bug,” referring to the unpleasant smell and shape of its fruits.

Accompanying pollens

Goat’s beard, sunflower, melilot, betony.

These are possible nectars (belonging to other botanical species) present in the honey in a reduced percentage.
